Kindergarten students in Miss. Walker's class recently read the book “How to Catch a Leprechaun.” The story talks about a “leprechaun” visiting for St. Patrick's Day. In the book, the story showed different types of traps to catch the leprechaun. Students were put into four different groups to brainstorm ideas of how they could catch the leprechaun and then worked together to make traps using simple materials. Miss Walker said it was a fun process to watch the kids get involved in doing hands-on activities. The kids were able to complete their traps, but they were sadly unable to catch the leprechaun. Good news though.... he did leave a treat and note for them! What fun!
